Thanks
for Your Help.... We hosted a
Benefit Event Saturday
July 11th here at
Superior, loaded with an afternoon of Fund Rasing Car Washes, BBQ's,
and Raffles. We sponsored the event in effort to raise money for
a young family whose
Father suffered a serious injury this past week at work and passed
away. The Father, Vaughn Hayes, is
known for being a hard working father of two who holds multiple jobs,
and was beginning to build a reputation in professional circles in our
community.

Being only 21yrs old, the young man's
family- wife, newborn and 2 year old child, are now faced with a tough
road,
and here at Superior, we are got out the soap, buckets and spatulas
to raise some money for a good cause. We were not alone, Cone &
Graham, TBAJA.com, our local community and folks from around the Tampa
Bay area all kicked in to raise an incrediable amount of money in
overall donations for Vaughn's family, not to mention the donations for
our raffle from businesses arcoss the Bay Area.
The outpouring of sympathy, support and love was more than evident and
we would like to thank all those involved, because it takes a lot of
time effort and sacrifice to put an event like this together. The
general consensus of all who attended, was that the event was a beacon
of hope, in the most dire economic times our country has ever
faced.
One of the attendees has written a
response to the days events and is posted below,. Thanks again, for the
overall act of
kindness from our community that has been overwhelming on many levels.
We only wish to do good through these events and with all your help- we
did just that!
We got up this
morning,
right after Sunrise.
We drank down some coffee,
and wiped the sleep from our eyes.
It was off to Superior,
to set up tables and stuff,
We had sorta a plan,
although it was a bit rough.
We were here to raise money,
and it was for a great cause.
This was going to happen,
to spite car wash laws.
We had a snow cone
machine,
and one for cotton candy.
Someone donated more tables,
which came in real handy.
So I asked around,
who could run the machine.
That's when Jimmy walked up,
into the"I don't know" scene.
He made up a snow cone,
like he was a pro.
Handed it to me,
and said there you go.
We filled the buckets with soap
to get ready for cars.
And when the cars started coming,
it was like jail without bars.
The ones washing cars,
deserve a big round of cheer.
Because without their hard work,
many wouldn't be here.
We cooked burgers a dogs,
and had plenty of sides.
It seemed we had everything,
except carnival rides.
The parking lot filled,
that capacity was near.
When the guy right next door,
said they can park over here.
We pulled raffle tickets,
it seemed like all day.
While at the dunk tank,
the kids could all play.
The DJ did great,
with every song.
And made announcements for us,
and played all day long.
So we all worked together,
for the Hayes Family.
And I for one am proud,
of our Community.
For remembering the values,
from where this country did start.
And for the gifts and donations,
and the prayers from the Heart.
